Building 1 at sunrise — The Lake Bay and sister condos at Diamond Garage Condos on Kamp Kozy

Owner education · August 2026

You’re not renting a stall.
You’re buying real estate.

Most people hear “garage condo” and picture a monthly storage bay. That’s the wrong picture. At Diamond Garage Condos, you’re buying a deeded condo — like buying a home. You own the land underneath it. You own the interior space. And you can make it anything you want within our building standards.

Deeded like a home Land + interior Your canvas 2 condos left in Building 1

These are deeded condos — more like buying a home than renting a stall. Take The Lake Bay, our model condo: the building is already up. You own the land underneath it, you own the interior space, and what’s inside is your canvas — finished your way, within our building standards. Not a rental bay. Not a monthly locker. Real property you title, invest in, and hold.

Across the country, garage condos have grown from a niche idea into a real asset class — private, deeded space for boats, cars, shops, and hangouts that outgrew the home garage. At Diamond Garage Condos, that same ownership model sits in Cassopolis lake country — minutes from Diamond Lake and Stone Lake, built for people who already live the weekend.

This post does two jobs: nail what you actually own, then show — through carefully labeled third-party videos — what owners elsewhere turn that ownership into. Inspiration first. Then we bring it home to DGC and introduce The Lake Bay — our model condo, the one you tour.

01 — What you actually buy

Three ideas that change the whole conversation

Skip the jargon. If someone asks “what is a garage condo?” — answer with these three ideas.

01

Deeded — like a home

You’re buying a condo you can title — closer to owning a home than renting storage. It’s an investment you hold. You can sell it later. You’re not “subscribed” to a bay.

02

Land + interior

The condos are already built. Buy The Lake Bay — our model — and you own the land underneath that condo and the interior space inside it. That’s the difference people miss when they hear “garage.”

03

Your canvas

What’s inside is yours to make your own — shop wall, boat and car, mezz lounge, kitchenette upstairs, or all of the above. Your personality. Your style. Within our building standards, of course.

Clear limit: not overnight residential

DGC is lifestyle space for toys, work, and hang time — not a house substitute. Think boat downstairs, cold drinks upstairs after Diamond Lake or Stone Lake. Own it like real estate. Use it like a lake-country man cave / shop / staging bay — not as a place to sleep every night.

02 — What ownership unlocks

The videos below are third-party inspiration. They are not DGC inventory tours. They exist so you can feel the finish path — cabinets, mezzanines, kitchen upstairs, lifestyle staging — before you walk a shell at Kamp Kozy.

Obsessed Garage — a garage condo in the making

Mezz decisions, kitchen upstairs, layout tradeoffs — the most useful “how you’d actually finish it” video for someone looking at a deep bay shell like The Lake Bay.

Mezz story in one hook

Lambo downstairs, Gaggenau upstairs

Short, sharp proof of the same geometry we’re building toward at DGC: serious toys on the main floor, real kitchen energy on the mezz. Watch for the “boat downstairs / hang upstairs” rhyme.

Local-ish awareness: luxury storage condominiums already exist in West Michigan. Thin video, useful peer — the category is here, not hypothetical.

03 — Bring it home

Meet The Lake Bay — our model condo

The Lake Bay is our model condo at Diamond Garage Condos — the one we finish first so you can see what ownership looks like in person. Same ownership math. Lake-country address. A shell ready for your finish story.

The Lake Bay main bay — epoxy floor, mezzanine with cable rail, black stairs, white under-mezz door The Lake Bay wide bay view — polished floor, two-tone walls, mezzanine with black stairs and cable rail

The Lake Bay is our model garage condo. This is the big view first: a deep main bay for boats, cars, and toys, with the mezzanine above. Look closer and you’ll also see the everyday comforts that separate this from a storage stall — a full bathroom, a utility sink on the main floor, and a climate-controlled interior so your gear stays dry and stable year-round.

Then you finish it your way — shop wall, lounge, golf simulator, kitchenette upstairs, or all of the above. A lot of owners want a place to hit balls when the lake is iced over or the weather won’t cooperate — the bay volume and climate control make that an easy add. That’s the DGC pitch without a brochure: store the boat downstairs, hang upstairs, and be on Diamond Lake or Stone Lake before the coffee cools.

The Lake Bay mezzanine kitchenette — gray cabinets, black counter, subway tile, beverage fridge upstairs The Lake Bay mezzanine room — wood-look floor, gray walls, black corrugated ceiling, white interior door

Upstairs on the mezzanine, the kitchenette is nearly complete — gray cabinets, black counter, subway tile, beverage fridge in. Only the walnut floating shelves are still to go.

And this isn’t just a Lake Bay story. Every condo is climate-controlled, and every condo is plumbed and roughed in so you can finish out a full bathroom and mezzanine on your timeline — the hard plumbing work is already there for convenience. Building 1 condos are 1,584 sq ft — 1,200 on the main floor plus a 16′ × 24′ mezzanine. Two condos remain. For pricing, buy vs lease, and availability, contact Jacob Ramont at Colliers.

04 — Why this matters in Cassopolis

An emerging market needs a clear story

If the category is new here, education is the marketing. Share this page. Send it before a tour. Use it when someone says “isn’t that just storage?”

Nationally, garage condos are no longer a quirky hobby product — they’re showing up in mainstream coverage, Midwest campuses, and West Michigan peers. Cassopolis sits next to real water (Diamond Lake, Stone Lake) and real weekend demand. The missing piece for most buyers isn’t asphalt or bay size. It’s understanding that this is ownership.

That’s why this post leads with the deed. Videos prove the lifestyle. Colliers and a site tour close the loop. If you’re Jacob’s next call, or you’re sending this to a friend who “doesn’t get it yet” — start them here.
